Welcome to the Rotary Club of Sequim!
Meeting Every Thursday at Noon at Sunland Golf & Country Club
Earlier this year we celebrated the 80th anniversary of our club and we continue to enjoy fulfilling the ideals of Rotary. Rotary International is the oldest and largest humanitarian and service organization in the world. The Family of Rotary has approximately 1.2 million members in almost 33,000 clubs in over 200 countries around the world.
When Rotarians work together great things happen! Our club meets weekly on Thursdays at noon and we are non political, non religious and open to all cultures. The main objective of Rotary is service – in the community and throughout the world. We have developed a number of projects that address many of today’s most critical issues.
Through our international service efforts our club members improve the health of children by inoculating them against polio, we aid victims of disaster by contributing to our Shelterbox program and we help to provide potable water with our clean water projects.
We have plenty of projects to keep us busy serving our local community also. We remain committed to improving literacy and aim this year to expand on our existing 4th grade dictionary project with a new idea called “Raise a Reader”. We enjoy hosting our annual salmon bake every year in August and organizing the Irrigation Festival Parade in May.
We are constantly seeking new members committed to our primary motto of “Service Above Self” and we would welcome the opportunity to meet you. Please come and join us for lunch to learn more. You may contact me at 360 460 5052 with any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you!
